Lao Evangelical Church
Our history dates back to the mid 1900’s. It is by God’s grace that the Lao Evangelical Church grew out of the work of Swedish Protestant 1890, followed by Swiss Brethren in 1902 and Christian and Missionary Alliance missionaries’ in 1928. The missionaries worked in different parts of the country. In a Mutual mission, Vaughan was server as neutral site for all missionaries. The Swiss brethren Missionary was served from KhamMouang toward Savannakhet and further south. Christian Missionary Alliance carried its mission from Kham Mouang and north forth. Together missionaries from both denominations came together and adopted a constitution to establish the LEC in 1953.
With the leadership of Rev Wang Yee Her, Rev. Wang Lo Lee and Rev Mouachou Mouanoutoua, the Lao Evangelical Church U.S. was established in September of 1979 starting with one church in Santa Ana, California.  Since its inception, Lao Evangelical Church has grown independently from one branch to nineteen branches throughout California, Nevada, Utah, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Carolina, Georgia, and Canada.  Currently, there are still remaining of thirteen branches. MISSION STATEMENT:
We are to love God and love others wholeheartedly every moment of our lives.

VISION:
We bring people in as committed members of God’s family.

A.  We teach them to utilize body of human, spiritual, intellectual, physical, and financial resources that God entrusts to them as stewards to advance His Kingdom.
B.  We develop a loving community of believers who would encourage, exhort, and support each other as fellow members of the household of God.
C. We send them out by sharing Jesus Christ with everyone who does not know Him personally and intimately as Savior.
D. The true Church is composed of all such persons, who have been born again and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head.

STATEMENT OF FAITH:
The members of this church, and members of affiliated Lao Evangelical Churches, believe in the following statement of faith:

A.  The Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writing, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
B.   There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
C.  Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins according to the scriptures.
D.  The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during this age, to convict men of sin; indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
E.  Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost.  Only through faith in Jesus Christ can salvation and eternal life be obtained.
F.  The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for the justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become the children of God.
G.  In the last days there will be bodily resurrection of all dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
H.  The true Church is composed of all such persons, who have been born again and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head.
